The older I get, the more this week’s quote resonates—especially during those moments of doubt or regret that seem to visit me more often these days. A good reminder for me to keep growing, to keep becoming, and to keep challenging myself in ways that still matter. Now the only question is… what exactly was it that I might have been? I’m taking suggestions.
It's never too late to be what you might have been.”
George Eliot

3 Questions to sit with...
1. When you picture "who you might have been," is that a real, specific person —
or a vague feeling of unfinished potential? What would it take to make it specific?
2. What's the actual cost of starting now, versus the cost of not starting?
Which one are you more afraid of?
3. If reinvention doesn't require becoming someone entirely different
— just closer to who you already are — What's one small,
current-you-sized step in that direction this week?

A note about the quote itself: despite being widely attributed to George Eliot, researchers have been unable to locate this quotation anywhere in her books or letters, and the attribution has no substantive support. The line likely evolved from an 1859 poem by Adelaide Anne Procter, "No star is ever lost we once have seen, we always may be what we might have been," and got reassigned to Eliot decades later. It's still a beautiful sentiment — just worth knowing the real author probably wasn't Eliot.
