 This July 4th, the United States celebrates its 250th Birthday. So with that in mind, we turn to the United States Declaration of Independence as this week's quote. It is a document born in a particular historical moment, yet built around an enduring human aspiration: that people possess inherent dignity, rights, and a voice in shaping their own future. Perhaps the quiet power of a declaration: not merely to describe what was, but to remind us of what is still worth striving for.
