“And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been, full of work that has never been done, full of tasks, claims, and demands; and let us see that we learn to take it without letting fall too much of what it has to bestow upon those who demand of it necessary, serious, and great things.”

One Word; One Year Exercise
Happy New Year Everybody! Now that 2014 is over it is time to “Shake it off. Just shake it off!” (according to Taylor Swift) and begin the new year with a word(s) (not a resolution) that will serve as a compass on who you want to be or how you want to live.
For 2014 my word was Synchronicity (it served me well and I will miss it) and In the past my words have been: Expand, Gratitude, Possibilities, Openness, Memento Mori, Grace and 525,600 (which represents the number of minutes we have in a year).
My 2015 Word (Mantra) for the Year is the Greek word OPA! as it is described by Alex Pattakos (see below). While OPA! has different meanings depending on the context that it is used, for me it will serve as a reminder to be aware and embrace the positive nature of the present moment. So to all Quote of the Week members, I say "OPA!"
What about you? What will be your word(s) that will guide you through 2014? Please Share!
