From the Quote of the Week Files; December 10, 2012

"An optimist is someone who goes after Moby Dick in a rowboat and takes the tartar sauce with him."

“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.”

“Attitude, not aptitude, determines altitude.”

“There are no traffic jams on the extra mile.”
__________

All the above quotes are by Zig Ziglar, a motivation speaker and leader who recently died at the age of 86.
I was an avid listener and reader to his teachings and they never failed to challenge my perspective as well as put a smile on my face!  In fact, I still use some of his adages in my own facilitation/consulting practice.

Here are a few more of his insightful quotes…

“Remember that failure is an event, not a person.”

“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

“People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.”

“There has never been a statue erected to honor a critic.”

“If you go looking for a friend, you’re going to find they’re scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere.”

“A goal properly set is halfway reached.”

I’m devoting this column to his memory by sharing a few of his insightful quotes:

“I’ll see you at the Top!” (I like this one! ;-) )

Wishing you a most beautiful day, wherever this may find you!
