Welcome to the Quote of the Week! Did you know that the Quote of the Week is Cruelty Free? I do not test the Quote of the Week on innocent lab animals. Going outside your comfort zone and going deep is the theme of this week's quotes! Enjoy!
__________
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
Neale Donald Walsch
__________
A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...
"Ideas are like fish.
If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They're huge and abstract. And they're very beautiful. I look for a certain kind of fish that is important to me, one that can translate to cinema. But there are all kinds of fish swimming down there. There are fish for business, fish for sports. There are fish for everything. Everything, anything that is a thing, comes up from the deepest level. Modern physics calls that level the Unified Field. The more your consciousness-your awareness-is expanded, the deeper you go toward this source, and the bigger the fish you can catch."

"Now" is the theme for the Quote of the Week! Welcome and enjoy!
__________
“There is nothing else than now. There is neither yesterday, certainly, nor is there any tomorrow. How old must you be before you know that? There is only now, and if now is only two days, then two days is your life and everything in it will be in proportion. This is how you live a life in two days. And if you stop complaining and asking for what you never will get, you will have a good life. A good life is not measured by any biblical span.”
Ernest Hemingway

From the Quote of the Week Files, January 2, 2011
"A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other."
Author Unknown
__________
The above quote on the difficulty of making New Year's Resolutions was sent in by QoftheW member Pat in 2008 and it made me think of the trouble I have had in keeping my well intentioned resolutions. Since then, thanks to a blog by Kristine Kane, I now choose a word(s) for the upcoming year that hopefully will inspire me on what I want "TO BE" as opposed to what I need "TO DO".
__________
By the way,my word for 2012 that I hope will guide, challenge and inspire me is "Grace." So my intention for 2012 is to keep the word Grace in mind when dealing with myself, people in my life as well as all the situations and decisions that I need to make in my life.
What about you? What will be your word(s)?

__________
"We frail humans are at one time capable of the greatest good and, at the same time, capable of the greatest evil. Change will only come about when each of us takes up the daily struggle ourselves to be more forgiving, compassionate, loving, and above all joyful in the knowledge that, by some miracle of grace, we can change as those around us can change too."
Mairead Maguire

Welcome to the Quote of the Week! Getting ready for the New Year is the theme of this week's quotes!! Enjoy and Happy New Year!!
__________
"Every man should be born again on the first day of January. Start with a fresh page. Take up one hole more in the buckle if necessary, or let down one, according to circumstances; but on the first of January let every man gird himself once more, with his face to the front, and take no interest in the things that were and are past."
Henry Ward Beecher
__________
Two Recycled Quotes...
"The possibility of making this your best year ever exists in every moment, because having the best year of your life depends not on some outside accomplishment but on allowing the greatest expression of yourself to be unveiled. Having the best year of your life is about becoming the person you always wanted to be. It's about embracing a vision of yourself at your best and developing the qualities that will take you there."
Debbie Ford
___
"If you think back and replay your year, if it doesn't bring you tears, either of joy or sadness, consider the year wasted."
John Cage, From the show Ally McBeal

A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...
"By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
Confucius
__________
And talk of Reflection, I just saw started my "Year in Review" to see if I made any progress this year and find what areas may need attention as I move forward in 2012 (still a lot of work to do ;-)). Below is a list of some questions for reflection for my "Year in Review" project. Just thought I would share!
__________
What occurred in my life this past year?
What were my main accomplishments and successes?
Based on what I learned last year, what am I committed to accomplishing this year and in the future?
Were there any breakthroughs?
What did I learn from my experiences last year?
What am I committed to accomplishing this year and in the future?
Who do I want thank for their support and love?
What was I excited about?
Where was I fearful?
To whom do I owe an apology?
What am I most proud of?
What am I least proud of?
What do I regret?
Do any of my relationships need special attention?
Are there things that could have been resolved that I have not allowed to be resolved?
What is still unfinished?
What is my main vision for 2012?
