A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic

"Love is better than anger.
Hope is better than fear.
Optimism is better than despair.
So let us be loving, hopeful, and optimistic. And we'll change the world."

From the Quote of the Week Files; March 17, 2014

You are dazed, bewildered, trapped in a world with no time, where color collides with sound, and shadows explode. You see a sign up ahead. This is no ordinary email, this is the "Quote of the Week Zone.
__________

Stop comparing where you’re at with where everyone else is. It doesn’t move you farther ahead, improve your situation, or help you find peace. It just feeds your shame, fuels your feelings of inadequacy, and ultimately, it keeps you stuck. The reality is that there is no one correct path in life. Everyone has their own unique journey. A path that’s right for someone else won’t necessarily be a path that’s right for you. And that’s okay. Your journey isn’t right or wrong, or good or bad. It’s just different. Your life isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s because you aren’t like anyone else. You’re a person all your own with a unique set of goals, obstacles, dreams, and needs. So stop comparing, and start living. You may not have ended up where you intended to go. But trust, for once, that you have ended up where you needed to be. Trust that you are in the right place at the right time. Trust that your life is enough. Trust that you are enough.”

A Recycled Irish Blessing...

May those who love us love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping.

From the Quote of the Week Files! March 10, 2014

Hello Everybody and Welcome to Monday's Quote of the Week!!  Of you are NOT  happy that it's Monday, perhaps a new insight is required.  Check out what  Antonia Harrison has to say!  TGIM!!!
___________

"It is Monday morning which for many is greeted by groans of 'yet another week at work.
How about another approach
  • Think about the opportunities you can create this week.
  • What one new thing can you learn or start this week?
  • What can you do differently this week to make your work more rewarding?
  • Can you introduce a new idea or skill to your employer to make you stand out?
  • Whose company do you enjoy in your work?
  • Be grateful for the knowledge and skills you have developed which give you work.
  • Show gratitude that you have work with so many people unemployed or too ill to work.
  • Are you going home to a warm bed and food on the table?
  • Be grateful if you have all your limbs and senses, even if you don't.
  • Be grateful that you are alive for one more day on this amazing planet.
However bad your life might seem, if you live in the Western developed world, you have the good fortune of being in the top 12.5 % of the world economically.  There are millions who are much poorer than you and yet they find something to be happy about.

It's Monday.  Chance to start with a blank sheet of paper and create something special this week.
"

A Very Recent Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark. In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all, do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach. The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."

Hello Everybody and Welcome to the Quote of the Week!  Change is the theme for this week's quotes! Enjoy!
__________

"Change will lead to insight far more often than insight will lead to change."

Milton Erickson

A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity,
To accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
Taking, as you did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that you will make all things right if I surrender to your will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with you forever in the next.
