A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; un- rewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honoured for what he received. Honour has been the reward for what he gave."

Calvin Coolidge

What me Worry? When it comes to worry, studies have shown the following statistics:
40% never happens.
30% of what we worry about has already happened.
12% are needless worries.
10% are petty and unimportant.
8% of what we worry about actually happens. Of this percentage…
4% of our worries that happen are beyond our control.
4% of what we worry about we have some if not all control over the results.
Given these statistics, I hope you enjoy the Quote of the Week!

A Recycled Quote of the Week Classic...

YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days that should be kept from fear and apprehension.

One of them is yesterday with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word. Yesterday is gone.

The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow, with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is also beyond our control.

Tomorrow’s sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds – but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is as yet unborn.

This leaves only today. Any man can fight the battles of just one-day. It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities – yesterday and tomorrow – that we break down.

It is not the experience of today that drives men mad. It is the remorse and bitterness for something which happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow will bring.

Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.
